King and Rose Optical – Re-defining the eyewear experience

Born in Austin, King and Rose is quickly becoming the next optical concept. Their combined online and brick-and-mortar presence, along with streamlined pricing is re-defining the eyewear experience to make exceptional eyewear more accessible to all. King and Rose curates independent designer lines from around the world and seeks to share them with eyewear enthusiasts who appreciate quality and individualism. They believe that eyewear is the most intimate accessory and have strict criteria for quality and design when selecting their collections. In addition to their extensive selection of eyewear and sunglasses, King and Rose also offers personalized eye examinations, contact lens evaluations, and personal frame styling.

King and Rose was born when optometrist and founder, Dr. Drew Provost, started wearing prescription eyewear. He saw that eyewear was either available through a typical retail optical or doctor’s office, where service and selection were usually lacking, or through elite boutiques, which were stuffy and over-priced. Along those same lines were sunglasses with a thin selection at doctor’s offices and low- quality generic frames at your typical mall stores. The traditional buying experience for prescription eyewear was also messy, including an array of upcharges for coatings and warranties. King and Rose has solved this by offering only the best quality eyewear and sunwear, along with the best quality lenses, in a straightforward purchasing experience at an incredible value.

The name King and Rose is also core to their mission. “King” puts customer service at the forefront, with the goal of making every customer feel like a king. “Rose” signifies nature where amazing design finds its origin. Their first Austin showroom’s sleek environment is low-key elegance mastered, combining natural woods and monochrome to create an unfussy yet inviting atmosphere. They showcase many exclusive brands including statement pieces such as Rigards handmade spectacles, Australian designed Niloca eyewear, Kuboraum hand-fused acetate frames, and Ahlem’s gorgeous eyewear and sunglasses made in France. King and Rose’s own Made in Austin eyewear accessories are in the works along with new lines of cutting edge fashion eyewear. The handsome setting and holistic approach are helping King and Rose take flight.
